Prof. Tek-Jin Nam visited Nokia Research Center in Palo Alto to give a talk about interactive product design and creative design tools and mehtods.

| 10 May. 2012 : CIDR at CHI'12
One Note (Young-Woo Park) and one Work-In-Progress poster (Yea-Kyung Row) were presented at CHI'12 Austin, Texas, USA. The note was about the user study result of CheekTouch, a prototype supporting remote interpersonal touch. The poster introudced a vision of future smart products.

| 6 April. 2012 : KAIST-RCA GoGlobal 2012: Seoul Social City Software
Prof. Tek-Jin Nam with Ashley Hall, the deputy head of IDE department of RCA and Prof. Peter Childs from Imperial College led the KAIST-RCA collabroative GoGlobal 2012 project titled Seoul Social City Software. The project investigated ways to addres system level social design problems by creative design thinking. 43 KAIST students worked with 37 RCA IDE students tackled social connection and revival theme of Dongdaemun area in Seoul. KAIST and RCA teams carried out the project for three weeks from March 19 to April 6. The exhibition are held in Seoul Design Foundation till the 6th of May 2012. Prof. Tek-Jin Nam was invited by the school of design and human engineering, UNIST to give a talk about education and research activities of CIDR. The focus of the talk was on the integration of design with technology. |
